The stakeholders

Excepting the volunteers/subjects, the following are stakeholders in clinical trials:

The promotor – which refers to the organization conducting the research. The sponsor is accompanied by a set of professionals, authorization officers and test controllers (regulatory bodies such as the Committee for the Protection of Individuals). In English, we speak of the CRO (Contract Research Organization).

The National Agency for the Safety of Medicine (or the Ministry of Research) and the Ethics Committee (or its equivalent in each country).

The sponsors who lead the tests.
