Optionally, the contract can cover all the trials in a year.
Optionally again, test coverage can be included in the investigator’s annual RC insurance.
Some insurers offer additional coverages (such as an individual accident policy covering the patient on his way to and from the trial center).
“Non- Huriet countries”, like the USA, will be able to offer a cover that is similar to a classic medical RC.
In the case of large pharmaceutical companies, their “risk retention” policy and their financial capacity generally lead them not to subscribe to specific insurance by trial or to accept, which is more or less the same, very large deductibles, in return for acceptable premiums.
